Here are some basics to start with: SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor, and the number beside it ( ex: spf 15/30/50) indicates how well the sunscreen protects skin against sunburn. With that said, most Spf nowadays are integrated into, makeup, moisturizer and many other products. The truth is we all need spf moderately of course.
Most importantly Zinc Oxide is the only single active ingredient that offers excellent protection from UVA and UVB.
Dermatologists recommend using a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30, which blocks 97 percent of the sun’s UVB rays. Higher-number SPFs block slightly more of the sun’s UVB rays, but no sunscreen can block 100 percent of the sun’s UVB rays.
Here is a breakdown of some of my favorites…
Maybe some people have not heard of GM COLLIN , I guarantee your skincare professional has. A great UVB-UVA mineral filter sunscreen. This is always in my beach bag. With active titanium dioxide this product is from Canada. A must have in the summer time.
One of my all time faves, I always have one tube in my medicine cabinet. The umbra sheer also comes in tinted, but I prefer the plain one. With 20% zinc infused, it does it job so well. Blends in great with makeup as well, a little goes a long way.Prevents sunburn on a daily.
The coolest duo on the block. I always have both regular and tinted spf 47 by Josie Maran. Infused with Argan this is such a great treat for your skin. Contains both zinc oxide as well as titanium dioxide the only two ingredients help against UVB. Mostly clean and naturally derived ingredients which is impressive.

Let’s talk skincare ! Just discovered 2 new amazing products I love to share !
Aesop : hand balm
Why settle for regular hand cream when you can get the queen! This amazing balm is not only notes of mandarin and rosemary tickling your nose but extra moisturize.
Josie Maran : Argan oil
Smells like heaven! You skin needs this , great way to deal with the dry weather without making it too oily .
Foster Lab : Anti-tech serum
Protects against blue light ( yes your cell phone included ) and repairs damages caused by environmental pollution ! A must oh my need to try .
The perfect skin, does it exist ? One things for sure it’s on all of our minds ! You want it , I want it , heck everyone wants it ! I think the key aspect is maintaining a healthy skin and getting in your weekly mask/scrubs to help with texture, pores, uneven skin tone …
Here are some of my favorite masks/ scrubs I’ve come to love through the years ! Some new and some old.
Let’s start with scrubs ; my all time favorite is when they have sugar in them . Why sugar ? Well, it’s simple, sugar melts easily as is less abrasive for your skin . Fresh beauty has an awesome strawberry one and so does clarinsusa love them both. Next everyone heard of the benefits of Mud! Pixi beauty has the mud mask for your pores ! Another one I can relive without is the GMcollin vitamine cocktail mask gives my skin the perfect boost when it’s feeling ugly and dull , I use it a few times a week , whenever I feel like my akin needs the pick me upper. Lastly I always have a tube of bio clarity brightening and exfoliating mask handy, it does both at the same time and saves me loads of time !
